Keyword Recommended Resources:

The Keyword tool we use most often is this Keyword Tool. Last I checked they still had a Free version but the paid edition is outstanding. When I bought it this was a one-time lifetime fee.

Google Adwords, Keyword Planner is also good and it is Free. You do need a Google Adwords account but it to is Free, until you place an Ad but you are not required to do so at this point in time.

There are any number of Keyword tools. However, I find that most do require a monthly fee which i am about up to here with. That’s why I recommended the two above. The first one, if a fee, is one time and good for life. The Google Keyword Planner is not as good as it once was . . . but it is still free last I checked.

Great First Impressions #1 of 15 Traffic Building Video Tips and Tricks

Get Great First Impressions from Your Title – YES  !

Chapter 2 – Tip #1 of 15 Traffic Building Video Tips and Tricks

Since the Title of your video is one of the first impressions a viewer will see that makes for a great starting point for our 15 tips to follow.

As we noted in the introduction we spoke to the Why of Video and 5 primary benefits of using Video in your business. And it all starts here with The First Impression . . . your Video Title.

You might ask, “Do First Impressions really matter?” Think of it like this. Your first time visitor will make a decision within 5 seconds whether to stay or leave. Within 5 seconds you have the opportunity to make a sale or no sale!

That First Impression is critical to your well-being!

We need an Awesome traffic building Title to make a good first impression. That means we need a captivating title that draws people into your video. It tells them what they need – what they are looking for – and makes them want to know what’s coming. And . . . most important . . . it needs to make them open and watch your Video!

In this article we’ll reveal the top 5 ingredients of a Captivating Title.
They are:

1.   Keep them Short – Yes, the above is a poor example, sorry.
2.   Include your Keyword
3.   Use Numbers
4.   Include a Benefit
5.   Keep it Understandable

1.   Keep Your Titles Short
Most of the gurus believe you should keep your titles under 10 words. Their reasoning is that the longer it gets the more difficult it is to understand. That does make sense and that first impression is important . . . Very Important.

Another reason for a short title is that your viewer, in most cases, will only see about the first 60 characters initially. headline, best headline, best title, You want them to get the full impact of your full title.

I like to write out about 3 to 5 titles and then spend a little time editing them. Some write a ton more. The idea is to find the best headline that your audience will respond to.

For help on determining what people are searching for see the free keyword helps in my recommendations below. We recommend this because you want to write content that folks are searching for. You begin to do this with your story-telling Title. If you want a keyword software that does this best, click here: Keyword Software. Last I checked they were still offering a Free version.

Look at each word. Is it necessary? Does it have value or add to the concept we’re wanting our audience to understand? Then take your 3 or 5 best titles and put them in a Google search. Study what others are doing and improve on it.

Then leave it, at least overnight, before reviewing it again. Pick one, when you’re ready. But always be thinking that it’s subject to revision. As you write your Video script the title may change – get better.

Make your Title descriptive of your article – craft it to tell a story, in miniature, of what your Video is all about.

2. Include your Keyword
One of the first things to consider is a keyword for your Video or for the article or blog you are preparing. Use Google Keyword Planner to see what is being searched for in your area of thought and what the competition looks like. This is a free tool. All you need is a Google account, also free.

Sometimes the keyword does not fit in your title, however try to make it work without forcing the issue. Include your keyword, or use a long-tail keyword phrase as your title. Then use that keyword or the phrase, throughout your video.;

Although it is not crucial to use a keyword in the tile it is helpful for ranking purposes.

Some also believe that you should always include the word “video” in your video title. It makes sense. And . . . YouTube likes the word and that may also help with the ranking process.
“This Video will . . . . “ or
“In this Video . . . . “ or
“5 tips to . . . . in this Video”

The above will produce some good, if not great first impressions and get your Videos opened and watched.

Some of these things need to be tested, even on a continual basis, as things do change, sometimes more than some of us like.

3. Use Numbers Whenever you can
It seems that people like to see numbers. 5 Ways for . . . , or 7 Keys to . . . , or 9 tips on . . .

This tutorial has the number 15 in it, which may be too many things to include. But they are each an essential part of the process to building exceptional Videos that produce excellent traffic volumes.

For the best results try to use no less than 3 but no more than a list of 10 points, whenever using numbers in your title. Our title is the name of this tutorial but each of the 15 tips have their own distinctive titles. In this case we believe the exception to the rule was good.

4. Include a Benefit Viewers are looking for
What do you want your viewer to gain from watching your video? Tell them that is exactly what they will get. But . . . then deliver the goods.

This all has to do with your topic and your Title. Stay on track to make every thought fit your game plan.

Make an outline of your content. Make your keyword or a keyword phrase the focal point and write around that concept. Then expand your point or points to close the deal around that keyword. One subject per Video is best. Make a 2nd and 3rd or more Videos for other points. Then . . . link like minded Video to each other in the description area.

5. Keep it Understandable
Your Title should be descriptive of what is being said in your video.

And, the audience needs to understand. For example: if the topic is on SEO but you are trying to reach an audience that is relatively new to your topic start out with some basic explanations of your terms. Do not use industry jargon in the title unless that is the specific audience being targeted or reached.

OK there you have  few of the keys to the beginnings of generating traffic building Videos, regarding the How-To of Titles. And remember we are wanting to make that all important first impression.

Please . . . keep in mind that the whole is better than any single part in this process. Meaning: the 15 tips act as a process in unity with one another. Any one tip may help with ranking but the Power of all 15 working together is phenomenal.

Do you really need all 15? No! and YES! If you are interested in getting the best ranking for your Videos . . .YES! If you want to maximize your traffic . . . YES! The more of these tips you put into place on each Video the better.

The more of these tips you practice the better your experience will be in gaining better rankings with Google and YouTube. And . . . Most Important . . .  traffic to your business will be in a continuous upward direction which means your revenue will go in that same direction.
